i never download anything because i’m completely technophobic and i literally don’t know how to and i don’t really stream movies because i prefer to rent them and then watch them on the tv screen but i did used to watch 100% of my television on megavideo and i don’t really know why that’s supposedly a bad thing…

if netflix was available in australia i would be perfectly happy to pay a monthly fee for on demand television.. i was also perfectly happy to watch stuff on 4OD when i was living in the UK with the adverts and stuff. if i had an ipad i would happily pay for the iplayer app so i can watch bbc shows.. i don’t feel like i’m trying to destroy the television industry; the amount of television i watch online has no correlation to how many box sets i buy.. if i want to rewatch something then i’ll buy it.

i don’t know why it has to be such a bad thing to just to watch an episode of doctor who or modern family or whatever online.. if i could watch the newest episode of how i met your mother legally on a proper website the day after it airs then i would definitely do that but i can’t so i don’t.

i also have an issue with the US government making decisions that affect people outside of their jurisdiction.

i mean, obviously there’s an issue with filesharing and stuff but i think that the big companies need to adapt and start providing something that’s a valid alternative rather than shutting everything down and arresting people who are essentially providing a service that people want.

i don’t know if there is a really valid argument for letting people have something for free that people spent time and effort into making. i’m still a big believer in paying for stuff i like… even if i knew how to download music for free, i’d probably still buy what i wanted off itunes or from a store..

i don’t know.. i’m just pissed off that megavideo is gone and i’m rambling and now i’m going to go and do my laundry and go grocery shopping and generally act like a proper human being instead of someone who spends their time bitching to people on the internet that it’s become harder to watch the newest episode of my little pony.
